Cyber Happy Hour & Panel: Deepfake + Synthetic Media
Dune Security and Reality Defender hosted an evening event at Cooley’s Hudson Yards office featuring networking, cocktails, and a focused panel on the rising enterprise risk of deepfakes and synthetic media.
From cloned executive voices and fake investor pitches to manipulated résumés and synthetic candidates, attackers are exploiting AI-generated content to manipulate insiders and bypass traditional defenses. In fact, recent cases have involved tens of millions lost in single attacks, and Deloitte predicts that deepfake-enabled fraud could cost businesses up to $40 billion by 2027.
Attendees connected with many of NYC’s top technology and security executives to discuss strategies for staying ahead of today’s most sophisticated AI-generated threats. Free drinks and food were included, along with a few special surprises that you can read about in our event recap blog.
